Just a head's up for guests staying in Minneapolis or Saint Paul this weekend. I know we have mentioned a time or two that the Twin Cities Marathon (the most beautiful urban marathon in the world) is on Sunday, but perhaps did not stress enough the expanse of space that the marathon takes up (I mean, it is 26 miles!) and the way in which it makes traffic in Minneapolis and Saint Paul a bit silly.

If I were you, I would just stay and watch the marathon until all the roads open back up.... but that's just me.
NOTE: If you are staying in a Twin Cities suburb (Eagan, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Lakeville, etc), these road closures will most likely not affect your drive.
